CSPD works within an ideological paradigm, which upholds a democratic, secular, non-militaristic and welfare state, committed to peaceful resolution of inter and intra-state conflicts. Its core principle is to work against all forms of oppression, and for equal, equitable and just citizenship rights whether for women, workers, religious, ethnic and linguistic minorities or other communities/ peoples living on margins.
CSPD has been and is involved in a range of activities, which includes research, advocacy; in organizing and conducting training programs at different level; encourage and engages in audio-visual production including the encouragement and support of alternative/ purposive theater and film.
